Mrs. Fred Yates has returned from a visit to Rotorua.
Mrs. R. Laidlaw left by air yesterday for Palmerston North
Mrs. Adains Bruce, of Christchurch, is spending a holiday at Rotorua.
Mrs. R. Abbott and Miss Mary Abbott have returned from Rotorua.
Mrs. K. S. Williams, of Poverty Bay, is at Princes Lodge, Princes Street.
Mrs. T. W. Wilkin, of Princes Street, will leave to-day by the Wanganella to spend a holiday in Sydney.
Miss Mary Bright, of Hawera, returned on Tuesday by the Wanganella from a visit to Australia and the East.
Mrs. W. McKenzie spent three months in Rotorua since leaving Auckland, and is now residing at Cambridge.
Miss Sybil Ross, of Wanganui, returned by the Wanganella on Tuesday from a holiday spent in Australia and the East. ,
Mrs. F. Farrell, Miss D. Farrell. Mrs. R. Carriugton (Hamilton), and Mrs. P. Williams (Paeroa) are at, the Central Hotel.
Miss Thelma Mills, of Princes Street, has returned from a visit to Palmerston North, where she stayed with her mother, Mrs. G. Mills.
Mrs. L. Anerein (Switzerland), Mrs. A. M. Forbes (Sydney), Mrs. G. Stock (Wellington) and Miss S. Rogerson (Longburn) are at the Station Hotel.
Mrs. J. C. Kissling, of Hiuhwic Avenue, Epsom,, left last week for Palmerston North, where she is staying with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Kissling.
Miss Nell Ramage, of View Road, Mount Eden, will leave to-day by the Wanganella for Melbourne,. where she will be the guest of her sister-in-law, Mrs. R. J. Ramage, of Toorak.
Mrs. R. C. Crowe and Miss Shelagh Crowe, of Canton, who have been spending an extended holiday in New Zealand, are the guests of Airs. S. H. Crowe, of Takapuna. They will leave by the Wanganella to-day for Sydney en route to their home in the East.
A novelty dance night was held on Saturday by members of the Otahuhu Labour' Party social committee. About 200 people were present, and humorous songs by Mr. Edmunds and solos by Mr. O'Neil were much enjoyed. Supper was served by the ladies' committee, comprising Mrs. Ellice, Mrs. Taylor and Mrs. J. Knowles.
A successful children's plain and fancy dress dance and party was held in the Town Hall at Russell in aid of the Russell quota of £lO for the establishment of a detal clinic at Kawakawa. The organisers were Mrs. J. B. Williams and Mrs. H. King, members of the Russell School committee. The fund benefited to the extent of £l6.
