The weather conditions were good, and i-he plav reached a, high standard. Two qualifying rounds of the championship, in conjunction with two medal rounds in both the senior and junior divisions, were decided. For the best gross score in the qualifying rounds, Miss Stewart (Whangarei) won the Cotter Cup. The morning medal round was won by Miss Phillips in tho senior division, with a net score of 77, and in the junior by Miss Sterling (Maungaturoto), with a net of 71.
