GUARANTEED PRICE
Sir, —Re the Government and the socalled guaranteed price. Please allow me a little space to voice my opinion. The Government claims to be giving the farmer a fair deal. In tho first place, the present Government has caused the farmers' cost of production to rise in every direction. In return the Government claims to give the farmer a guaranteed price for his production. What is this guarantee? All that the farmer is guaranteed, is that he will be paid what his butter brings on the Home market—nothing more, nothing less. The farmers can make a success of their undertaking without fiolitical interference; our pioneer armers have proved that. A. S. W. Hazard.
