APPEAL TO THE ARABS CO-OPERATION FOR PEACE ANTWERP, Sept. 4 At the opening of a Zionist Conference at Antwerp to-day, Dr. Chaim "Weizmann, President of the Jewish Agency for Palestine, said the Evian Conference was, tragically inadequate. The only permanent solution of tho Jewish problem lay in Palestine, where Jews should refuse any settlement which did not provide for large-scale Jewish immigration.
Dr. Weizmann appealed to tho Arabs to co-operate for peace and development in Palestine.
CLASH WITH ARABS TROOPS AND POLICE JERUSALEM, Sept. 4 A large band of Arabs, when surprised by troops and police south of Haifa, gave battle and 14 were killed. There were no British casualties.
DANZIG BANS DOCTORS (Received September 5, 5.30 p.m.) LONDON. Sept. 5 The Danzig, Medical Council is depriving all Jewish doctors of the right to practise in Danzig as from October ], says the Warsaw correspondent of the Daily Telegraph.
