PLANET AND A STAR
The planet Venus, the mcst brilliant object in tho western evei'ng sky at the present time, was last evening in conjunction with the fixer star Spicn, in the constellation Virg'. Spiea is a first magnitude star, but tor the next few evenings it will dim in comparison with the sil'ery brilliance of Venus. The young poon higher in the sky will add to tli' attractiveness of the phenomenon.
