MR. J. HINTON
£ FROM OUR OWN COR R KSI'ONDKNT ] HAMILTON, Tuesday The death has occurred at Matangi of Sir. Job Hinton, member of a wellknown Waikato pioneer family, at the age of 75 years. Mr. Hinton, who is a brother of Mr. T. Hinton. chairman of the Central Waikato Electric-Power Board, was born in Maitland, New South Wales. He came to New Zealand with his parents in 1 SOt and was educated in Hamilton. Me later took up farming as a career. Originally he purchased the 'W oodside estate at Matangi and at various times he held land at Bntntwnd, Tamahere and Eureka, these poverties now being farmed by his sons. Mr. Hinton is survived b.v his wife, six sons and three daughters. MR. 0. A. J. FLETCHER [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] TAURANGA. Tuesday The death has occurred at Tauranga of Mr. Charles Albert Johnstone Fletcher, aged 71 rears. Mr. Fletcher was the son of the late Mr. T. 11. Fletcher, an earlv Katikati settler. Btjrn in Glasnevin, Ireland, he accompanied liis parents to Now Zealand when eight years old in the Carisbrook Castle, the family being members of the Katikati No. 1 party. Mr. Fletcher lived there for the remainder of his life and took a piominent part in local affairs for many years. He was not married. Ho is survived by two brothers and ono sister. MRS. M. COLLIER [by telegraph—own correspondent] WAIIII, Tuesday The death of Mrs. Maud Collier, wife of Mr. W. C. Collier, former secretary of the Wailii Hospital Board, occurred early this morning. Mrs. Collier, who was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Neil, of Wellington, is survived by her husband, two daughters and a son.
