A "FAN" MAIL

COATES "The Prime Minister now has virtui silly a 'fan' mail, and his staff is kept ;busy sending out replies to letters that • have been received at the rate of 150 a day since his indisposition," said a ((member of the Rt. The Prime Minister's doctor has approved of Mr. Savage making a short :• visit to tho Auckland Trotting Club's Meeting at Epsom to-day if the Tveather is suitable. This will mark his ' first public appearance since last weekend. He also announced that Mr. Sav- '* .age's health was so greatly improved 'that there was no difficulty about his returning to Wellington on Monday, and resuming his normal activities, "provided that he did not exert himself : unduly in the immediate future. " A case of fruit comprising samples . from tho various sources of supply in the islands has been sent to the Prime .• Minister. The flowers sent him include a profusion of fine spring blooms, and a bunch of golden Australian wattle.
