MORNING TEA PARTY
THE LYCEUM CLUB MISS RUTH DRAPER PRESENT A notable signature in tho Lyceum Club visitors' hook is that of Miss Ruth Draper, who signed the book yesterday when she was a guest of the club at a largely-attended morning tea given in her honour. Miss Draper was received by the club president, Mrs. \\. H. Parkes. and members of the executive. She charmed everyone there with tho friendly, pleasant manner in \aliicu she chatted individually with those Pr ?n e a brief talk Miss Draper explained that she never rehearsed or practised in front of a mirror before presenting her work on the stage. Her aim was to capture the imagination ot her audiences, and she _ found that m all countries in which she had presented her sketches, audiences were very alike, irrespective of their nationality. In conclusion, -Miss Draper expressed great pleasure at being in Isew Zealand.
