ALLOCATIONS ANNOUNCED £15,000 TO BE DISTRIBUTED NUMEROUS SOCIETIES BENEFIT [by temscraph —rXIESS association] WELLINGTON, Friday The T. G. McCarthy Trust met today and made allocations amounting to £15,000, which has only been exceeded once, when £16,000 was allocated in 1936. The principal amounts aro: —£700 each to tlic Home of Compassion, Island Bay, and St. Joseph's Orphanage; £O3O to tho Mayor's Metropolitan belief Committee, Upper llutt; £SOO each to the St. Vincent do Paul Society and Wellington City Mission; £450 each to tho National Gallery and Museum and the Salvation Army Men's Shelter; £4OO each to the Wellington Free Kindergarten, St. Thomas' Boys' School, Naenae, and New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts: £375 to the Wellington Boys' Institute; £.'510 to St. Joseph's Relief Depot and Creche; and £3OO to the Wellington Young Women's Christian Association.
