A CHARGE DENIED
Charged with unlawful carnal knowHedge of a girl under the age of 16, Jack William Macluran Stevens, a masseur, aged 37, appeared in tho Police Court yesterday. The offence was alleged to have taken place at Takapuna on June 30. Accused, who was represented by Mr. Thwaites, pleaded riot guilty and Mas committed to the . b "Preme. Court for trial. Bail was fixed *t |£1,50 and two sureties of £75 each.
