HIGH SCHOOL BOXING

OPOTIKI, Friday The annual boxing tournament of the Opotiki District High' School, held in tho Regent Theatre last night, proved a great success. The boxing was of an exceptionally i high standard. The medal for the most scientific boxer was «on by D. Davies and that ! for the gainest loser was awarded to W. •i Hedloy. Results were as follows: Fleming beat Baird, Parkinson beat Talbot, Davies and R. Hedlcy drew, Dain beiit J. Baird, B. Williams beat Herring, T. Murray beat W. Graham, F. Fleming beat W. Hedley, D. Beeves and A. Jones drew, B. Bennett beat M. Reeves, L. Dain beat K. Hampton. A fine exhibition bout was given by L. Abbot and U. Lake.
