PLANTING OF TREES SHOW PRESIDENTS HONOURED [from cur own correspondent] HAMILTON, Friday An avenue of trees was planted along a drive leading from the northern approach on tho Waikato Agricultural and Pastoral Association's showgrounds at Claudelands yesterday. Each tree formed a tribute to the services of a past president of the Waikato Winter Show Association. In most instances the planting was done by a former president. Among those present were Mr. P. H. Clarkin, president of tho Agricultural and Pastoral Association, and Mr. F. Bullock, president of the Winter Show Association. Speeches were made bv Messrs. J. 11. Fow, J. E. Tidd, W. E. Clark and F. Bullock. Trees were planted by Messrs. S. J. Bennett, W. J. McKee, J. E. Tidd, H. H. Clark, F. A. Snell, A. K. Alexander, J. R. Fow, W. E. Clark, J. Ballard and F. Bullock. Trees were also planted in memory of tho following former presidents:—The late Messrs. A. Bell, J. S. Bond. F. E. Smith, F. Pemberton and W. Wallace. Two former presidents, Messrs. James Parlane and James Treloar, were unable to be present.
