NELSON COLLEGE
NEW HOSTEL NEEDED The necessity for additional accommodation at the Nelson Boys' College ivas stressed at a meeting of the Council of Governors, and it was suggested that tho question of a new hostel, either in wood or concrete, bo fully investigated. The chairman, Mr. C. It. Fell, said that the construction of a new hostel would necessitate borrowing money, to do which the council must have the sanction of the Education Department. In view of tho largo expenditure , which would be involved in tho construction of the new main building he hesitated to ask for further assistance from the department. After the danger of overcrowding had again been referred to, it was resolved that the chairman interview the Minister of Education in Wellington to explain tho position and ask advice.
