ROYAL TOURS ABROAD
THE KING AND QUEEN POSSIBLE VISIT TO CANADA INTEREST IN NEW ZEALAND LONDON, August 4 The amazing success of the Royal visit to France, which was initiated by the King agreeing to unveil the Aus-1 tralian war memorial at Villers-Breton-neux, has stirred interest in the question of other Royal visits. It is understood that the King and Queen will visit Canada in '1939, although nothing official has been decided i Americans are keen that the tour, if made, should include the United States, where a cordial welcome is assured. It is believed that the visit would be most valuable in promoting Anglo-American goodwill. A. Buckingham Palace official said there was every reason to expect that Their Majesties would tisit the .United States if they crossed the Atlantic. The question of a Royal visit to Australia and New Zealand in 1940 is considered to be too remote for 6onsideration at present. The King and Queen have both emphasised recently their desire to visit Australia again, and have also shown a personal interest in the New Zealand Centenary in 1940.
