THE SHERIDAN PLAYERS

ENJOYABLE ENTERTAINMENT Introducing totally'different subjects, four one-net plays were presented by the Sheridan Players at the Lewis Eady Hall last night. An excellent standard of acting was shown by nil who participated nnd each item earned well-merited applause from a large audience. Produced by Miss Kitty Homer, the first play, "Symphony in Illusion," by A. W. Bt'll. was presented in three movements, allegro, largo and andante non troppo. The play, which was of a pacifist nature, pointed out the futility of war, the principal scene being set against the doorway of a war-ruined church. "Henven on Earth" was the title of the second play, a comedy by Philip Johnson, the producer being Miss Joan Steele. This was followed bv an excellently acted drama hv Philip Johnson entitled "The Sister Who Walked in Silence," the programme concluding with a burlesque, "Old Moore's Almanac." Miss N. Warren was in charge of the production of the latter plavetto. The assisting artists we.ro Miss CJwonda Weir, soprano, and Mr. Robert Simmers, tenor. Each sang a solo and together cave a much-appreciated duet. Tho accompanist was Miss Laurie Young, who did much to contribute to the sticcess of the entertninvient.
