WAIHI HOSPITAL
WORK UNDER NEW BOARD [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] THAMES, Tuesday "Tho Waihi Hospital is again coming into its own under tho new board's policy," said Mr. W. Danby, at the Thames Hospital Board meeting to-day, when commenting on tho resident surgeon's report. It was reported that the hospital had been very busy during July and that, if tho number of patients continued, it would be necessary to increase tho nursing staff. There were 27 patients at the end of the month, while 57 had been treated during tho period, not counting outside patients. The chairman, Mr. P. Brenan, said tho position at Waihi was very satisfactory. The repairs to the buildings were proceeding as quickly as possible.
