LINER QUEEN MARY
f RECORDS NOT SOUGHT LONDON, August 8 An official of the Cunard-Whito Star Line says tho Queen Mary's record crossing of the Atlantic this week was all in the day's work, and the liner was not out for record-breaking. The Line is not claiming tho blue riband, as it does not recognise it. Some of the newspapers point out that the .blue riband depends upon average speed, in which the Normandie, so far, is the faster vessel, having averaged '31.2 knots on an eastward run last year.
