GOVERNMENT STAFFS
INCREASE IN BRITAIN (Received August 5, 0.5 p.m.) British Wireless RUGBY, August 4 Tho staff's of Government departments on April 1 totalled 376,491, according to a statement issued by the Treasury. This was an increase of 20,152 compared with a year ago. The staff of the Post Offico rose to 224,374 from 214,573. The demands of the rearmament campaign arc reflected in the increase of 3325 in the staffs of tho three service departments, which total 22,219.
