KILLED AT WORK
YOUNG BUSHMAN'S FATE STRUCK BY ROLLING LOG GREAT BARRIER ACCIDENT A bushman on the Great Barrier Island was killed yesterday morning when a log rolled on him. The victim was: Mr. C. Bowman, aged 28 years, single, resident on the Great Barrier. Mr. Bowman was omploved Hy Monaghan and Hooper, contractors, and was engaged in hauling a log from the Kauri Timber Company's bush, Whangapara, when the accident occurred. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Bowman, live at Herekino, North Auckland, and a brother is Detective J. Bowman, stationed at Marton. An inquest will be held at Whangapara to-day.
