TOUR OF AUSTRALIA DOMINION SCHOOLBOYS' TEAM Arrangements in connection with the forthcoming tour of Australia by a Xew Zealand secondary schools' team were discussed at last night's meeting of the control board of the Auckland Football Association. Advice was received from the Xew Zealand Council that nominations for the team and managers would close next Tuesday at Wellington. The council intimated that it had agreed to pay £],s toward the expenses of each of the managers, both of whom would be schoolmasters.

Stewart, of the Auckland Secondary Schools' Association, was present at the meeting and he advised the board that arrangements were in hand to stage a trial game during this week among the best boys from the various college teams in Auckland, lie stated that it was proposed to nominate six boys from Auckland. Relative to the nomination of managers, it was agreed that a fair representation would be one manager from the South Island and one from the North. It was decided to nominate Mr. \V. H. R. Martin tor the position of manager. It was pointed out that Mr. Martin, who had made a number of inquiries in Australia during the off season, was mainly responsible for the tour being arranged. An application for matches against senior and junior teams on Saturday week was received from the Waihi Club. It was decided to select a third senior division representative side to oppose the visiting senior team. The junior management committee advised that a third intermediate representative team would meet the Waihi junior team. An application was received from the Auckland Provincial Brass Bands for the use of Blandford Park on Labour Day to stage the annual band contest. The application was granted. Officials were appointed to the following groundp on Saturday;—Blandford Park: Messrs. W. Walker. W. Cole, L. Munro. F. G. Fullbrook; -North Shore. Mr. J. C Sihbin; Domain. Mr. A. P. Neesham; Victoria F'ark Mr. R. C. Brighton; Fowlds' Park, Mr. H. Gribble.
