CHANGES AMONG OFFICERS PROMOTIONS AND TRANSFERS Many changes in the personnel of the New Zealand Military Forces are announced in the current Gazette. Included among them are the following:— Mr. FT. .T. Russell has been appointed second lieutenant on probation and is posted to the Ist. Battalion, Auckland Regiment, with the honorary rank of captain for the purpose of acting as publicity officer. Captain L. R. Cutforth. of the 2nd Cadet Battalion, Hauraki Regiment, is posted to the retired list. Lieutenant J. P. Wilson, Ist Cadet Battalion, Hauraki Regiment, has resigned his commission.

Second Lieutenant H. H. Craig is posted to the 2nd Cadet Battalion, Hauraki Regiment, from the Regiment of New Zealand Artillery.

Mr. A. 1). McDell has been posted to the Ist Cadet Battalion, North Auckland Regiment, with the rank of second lieutenant, on probation. Captain A. Gollan, of the 2nd Composite Company, Now Zealand Army Service Corps, has been transferred to the reserve of officers. Major T. (). Lambie relinquishes the appointment of staff officer to the Director of Signals and is transferred to the reserve of officers. Major E. H. R. Green is appointed assistant Director of Signals with honorary rank. Lieutenant S. B. Wallace, Now Zealand Army Ordnance Corps, has returned to New Zealand after taking a. course of instruction at the Military School of Science, Woolwich, and is appointed Ordnance Mechanical Engineer at Trentham. Lieutenant A. H. Andrews, Army Ordnance Corps, relinquishes the post of Ordnance Mechanical Engineer at Trent-ham and is posted Assistant-Ordnance Officer, Main Ordnance Depot, Trentham. Lieutenant T. 1-1 Bevan. 21st Kield Buttery. New Zealand Artillery, has heen promoted captain. Second Lieutenant T. J. Casling-Cottle has heen promoted lieutenant. 21st Field Battery .
