HOLING IN ONE

GOLFER'S THIRD SUCCESS During the week, H. B. Lusk, the well-known Auckland amateur golfer, holed his tee shot at the 10th at the Middlemore links, this being the third occasion on which this player has obtained a "one." Just before playing the shot Lusk remarked that he had had difficulty in finding the green in recent rounds and then lie proceeded to play the hole perfectly. In a medal match at Akarana A. D. Barber again met with success, when lie played a splendid round of 76. Barber has been playing very well recently as following a good performance in the winter championship tournament he won a medal event three weeks ago. He lias made great progress at the game and has been steadily reducing his handicap. J. C. Mitchell, who was runner-up to Barber before, again filled that role.
