DAME ENID LYONS JNJURED WOMAN NURSED [most OUR owx cohrkspondknt] CANBERRA, July 8 Dame Lnid Lyons nursed an unconscious woman who hud boon injured in a, head-on collision near Goulburn last Sunday, and the l'rimo Minister's car did service as an ambulance to take five injured persons to tho Goulburn Hospital. Tho car in which Mr. Lyons, Dame the I nmo Minister's private secretary, Mr. Irvine Douglas, and Mrs. Douglas, wore returning to Canberra came upon the scene ol the accident, at the iork of tho main Melbourne and Canberra roads, eight miles south of Goulburn. A big ear had collided head-on with a waggonette. The latter contained Mr. liayward, his wife, a girl aged about three, and another man whose name is not known. They had all been cut by Hying glass. Mrs. Hayward was unconscious and tho child was badly cut about tho face. The l'rimo Minister's ear was tho first on the scene after the accident. It stopped, and Mr. Lyons, Mr. Douglas and Mrs. Douglas alighted to make room for tho injured. Dame Enid, sitting on the floor of the car, nursed the unconscious woman all the wav into Goulburn. The injured were admitted to the Goulburn Base Hospital. The car involved in the accident contained a woman aged 85, who was not hurt.
