FRENCHMAN SHOT FRONTIER INCIDENT CROSSING OF BORDER GRAVE ALLEGATION INQUIRY ORDERED By Telegraph—Presß Association—Copyright (deceived July G, 0.85 p.m.) Times Cable LONDON, July r> An inquiry has been ordered into an incident on the Franco-Italian frontier when two Frenchmen on holiday inadvertently crossed the frontier and were fired upon by Italian frontier guards, says the Paris correspondent of the Times. The Frenchmen immediately retraced their steps, hut the guards continued firing untii they were 250 yards inside the French frontier, where one of the pair, M. Pene Delaitre, a medical student, was seriously wounded. Kinptv Italian cartridge-cases arc alleged to have been found 25 yards inside French territory.
