DOMINION'S CRITICS
REPLY BY MR. JORDAN INVESTORS SAFEGUARDED (Received July 7, 12.10 a.m.) LONDON. July O 'fhe New Zealand High Commissioner, Mr. W. J. Jordan, vigorously replied to critics of the Dominion's'social legislation at a meeting of the British Empire League to-day. Mr. Jordan emphasised that the New Zealand Government was 'safeguarding both investors and the mass of the people. The Dominion was determined to meet its obligations in full. The Financial Times gives prominence to Mr. Jordan's reassurances and to his accounts of the benefits from the social legislation.
