ACTIVITIES OF CLUB BRIDGE AND GARDENING A demonstration of the making of wood pulp flowers was given by Mrs. F. Jackson at the fortnightly meeting of the gardening circle of the Rotorua Women's Club this week. The hostesses were Mrs. Russell Gardner, Mrs. W. Dingwall and Miss E. Robinson. Among those present were:—Mrs. E. Jackson, Mrs J. F. Finn, Mrs. J. Burton, Mrs. E. R. Quinlan, Mrs. Fulljames, Mrs. S. J. Hale, Mrs. Dick, Mrs. H. H. Coonev, Mrs. J. Main, Mrs. E. Carroll, Mrs. J. Dillon, Mrs. Russell Gardner, Mrs. W. Dingwall, Mrs. C. A. McKinney and Miss E. Robinson. , Bowls of Iceland poppies made the club rooms at Rotorua look very attractive when the bridge circle held its fortnightly meeting. The hostesses were Mrs. T. .Jackson and Mrs. .1. Dillon and the prize was won by Mrs. Gillam. Among those present were:—Mrs. E. R. Riggs, Mrs. L. Lewis, Mrs. H. H. Davis, Mrs. J. Tyson, Mrs. A. Clarke, Mrs. H. Gillam, Mrs. A. Steele, Mrs. W. Dingwall. Mrs. T. Jackson, Mrs. J. Dillon, Mrs. W. Reid and Miss Murray. Mrs. I?. Copoland Smith, of To Ngae, has left for a trip to the Islands. Mrs. H. S. Burd, of Hcrewini Street, is visiting Christchurch. Mrs. A. A. Butcher, of Kuirau Street, has returned home after spending a holiday in Tauranga. Mrs. C. Wilmott, of Otonga Road, is visiting Auckland. Mrs. J. D. C. Duncan, of Hinemoa Street, who has been spending a holiday at Mount Maunganui and Tauranga, has returned home. Mrs. A. Crawford, of Toko Street, is visiting Auckland and Wellington. Mrs. G. Sloane, of Ngongotaha, left this week to mako her future home in Hawera. Miss Allen, of Malfroy Road, is spending a holiday in Pukekohe and is the guest of Mrs. T. Holland.
