DELAY AT HOSPITAL
FOOTBALL ALLEGATION TREATMENT OF A PLAYER A complaint was received from an official in charge of a club team at last evening's meeting of the Auckland Football Association with regard to alleged delay at the Auckland Hospital in attending to an injured player. The official stated that the player had to wait approximately one hour and a-half before a doctor was found to attend to the case. As the player was a minor and an anaesthetic had to be administered, the consent of the father was required, and this occasioned further delay. Other instances of what was considered undue delay were mentioned by members of the association. It was resolved to forward the complaint with a covering letter to the Hospital Board for inquiry.
