TWO CARD PARTIES

AFTERNOON AND EVENING FUNDS FOR MATER HOSPITAL CATHOLIC WOMEN'S ACTIVITIES

1 he funds of the Alater Aliserecordiae Hospital were augmented by the proceeds of two large card parties held in the Catholic Women's League rooms yesterday afternoon and evening. The functions were arranged by the same committee. Airs. E. L. White being the convener. Bridge, mah jong, monopoly and live hundred were played. In the afternoon Airs. J. B. Callan, president of the Alater Auxiliary Service Guild, gave a brief outline of the work being accomplished by the guild. She stated that although the guild had been in existence for less than a year, valuable service had been accomplished for those ill and in need.
