UNIVERSITY CRICKET CENTURY TO GIBBS LONDON. July 4 In the inter-University cricket match to-day, Cambridge continued its first innings to make 425 in reply to Oxford's first innings total of 31*7. P. A. Gibbs, who has just been selected to play against the Australians in the third test match at Leeds, was topscorer with 122 runs. Then followed Thompson, who made 79, Yardley 61 and Kave, not out, 55. Oxford has lost no wickets for 1 run in the second innings.
