BRIDGE AFTERNOON MAORI SCHOLARSHIP FUND A successful bridge afternoon was held by the Victoria League Ever Ready Committee to raise funds toward the education of a Maori student at the Queen Victoria College for Maori girls. The guests were received by the lifepresident, Miss J. A. Mowbray, and Mrs. L. S. Rickcrby, chairman of the league. Prizes were won for contract bridge by Mrs. Coutts, anil for auction bridge by Mrs. Frcakes. Mrs. H. Burton and Mrs. \V. A. Thompson.
