TORONTO ALDERMAN MAYOR REPLIES TO PROTEST (Received July 5 0.30 p.m.) TORONTO. July 5 The Mayor, Mr. Ralph Day, replying to tho German Consul's protest at the remark of Alderman William Croft that the civic zoo was so dirty that it was fit only for Hitler, has written to the Consul regretting both the protest and the remark.
