ABSENCE THROUGH ILLNESS [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] WELLINGTON, Tues'day Owing to illness, the Mayor of Wellington, Mr. T. C. A. Hislop. was-an absentee from Inst night's meeting of the City Council. The deputy-mayor, Mr. M. Luckie, remarked that as far as he eould recollect, it was the first occasion on which Mr. Hislop had missed a meeting of the council.
