GIFT AFTERNOON
RESIDENT FAREWELLED A gift afternoon was organised bv Mr. and Mrs. Carmine and Mrs. Dobbio on behalf of the Catholic ladies of the Ohakune parish, as a farewell to Miss May Yorke, prior to her departure from tho district. J n presenting Miss Yorko with the gifts brought by those present, Father McGlone paid a warm tribute to her work as a member of the church, and the Mayor. Mr. H. Delainar, spoke appreciatively of her work as senior clerk of the Ohakune Borough Council.
