WRESTLING

BOUT ON MONDAY NEXT BLOMFIELD TO MEET MEEHAN The prominent Canadian wrestler Pat Meehan will have another bout at the Auckland Town Hall on Monday night, when he will have a chance to prove that the defeat he suffered at the hands of "Lofty" Blomfield was less than«he deserved. Few wrestlers havo been able to gain as strong a following in Auckland as has been secured by Meehan, whose ring personality, fighting spirit and fino physique combine to make him popular. Meehan learned the sport thoroughly as a boy and the fact that ho won the Canadian amateur heavy-weight championship two years in succession is convincing proof of his mastery of tho purely scientific side of the sport. Blomfiold will have to tread warily in the face of the variety of attacking moves which the Canadian can use.
