WEDDING IN ENGLAND

LEONARD-PRYNNE BRIDE IN WHITE SATIN MILITARY UNIFORMS WORN A Wfdding of New Zealand interest was celebrated at St. Andrew's Church, Eastney, on May 14, when Norman A. Leonard, third son of Mr. and Mrs. F. H. Leonard, Mount Eden, Auckland, late of Pine Lodge, Papatoetoe, was married to Mary C. Prynne, daughter of Lieutenant-Colonel ami Mrs. A. L. Prynne, of 1 Chessington, Craneswater Park, Southsea, England. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. J. B. Pim, R.N., and the service was fully choral. Tlio bride, who was given away by her father, wore a graceful frock of white angelskin satin, her net veil being caught to the head with a cluster of gardenias and orange blossom. She carried a bouquet of roses and lilies-of-the-valley. In attendance was Mrs. Day, matron of honour, and a little train-bearer, Pamela Wills. The former was wearing a frock of turquoise blue cloque and Juliet cap to match, with a veil. A bouquet of vari-coloured sweet peas was carried. The two-year-old trainbearer was dressed in sprigged organdie, with a blue sash at the waist. She also carried a posy of sweet peas. The best man was Dr. F. R. Leonard, brother of the bridegroom. The ushers were Messrs. M. W. and A. St. John Prynne, brothers of the bride, and Mr. K. Leonard, brother of the bridegroom. The bride's father and her brothers were all in military uniform, and with the red cassocks worn by the choir boys, a colourful scene was presented in the church. The bride's mother, Mrs. A." L. Prynne, wore a grey two-piece costume and black hat trimmed with blue and pink flowers. She carried a bouquet of carnations. The bridegroom's parents are in New Zealand, but four of his brothers were present at the wedding. A reception was held at Chessington, Craneswater Park. The bride travelled in a duck-egg blue coat and frock with hat to match and red fox fur.
