In addition to the regular 1000 police at the Yankee Stadium, 500 were allotted to patrol the streets between the stadiinn and Harlem, a distance of a few blocks only. At Cleveland, Ohio, 3000 rioting negroes, who were celebrating Louis' victory, interfered with trams by holding parades in the streets. They fought the police and seven persons, including three police officers, were injured, the condition of one of the police and of a boy being critical.
