ANXIETY AT WESTPORT [by TELEGRAPH —rRESS association] WESTPORT, Friday The Westlnnd Local Bodies and General Labourers' Union, at a meeting held at Westport, commented on the. grave situation that may arise in the event of the Buller River overflowing, and decided to communicate with the Minister of Marine, the Hon. P. Fraser, urging the immediate necessity of putting a dredge into commission to deal with the menace.
The secretary was also instructed to inquire of the Minister the results of the fmdiugs of the commission that was appointed to inquire into the condition of the harbour some two months ago.
