MOTHER AND DAUGHTER CHARGE OF SHOPLIFTING « [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION*] WELLINGTON, Friday Sentences of three months' imprisonment were imposed on Constance Augustine, aged 4.9, married, and Edna May Mitchell, aged 29, married, on a charge of shoplifting. By substituting a cheaper ring, they stole a ring valued at £27 10s. The accused, who were mother and daughter, were discharged on a series of other charges of a more ordinary kind.
