Lectures for Offenders
German thoroughness, as applied to traffic control in that country, includes a system whereby traffic offenders are required to attend a lecture on traffid laws at official premises. Failure to do 6o leads to a heavy fine. Sydney has now adopted this commonsense educational plan, and already 200 motor drivers have received, not summonses for trivial offences against the traffio code, but requests to attend a lecture where they will be addressed by officials of the recently formed New South Wales Mobile Courtesy Squad. The invitations are being issued for three instructional meetings weekly.
