Miss Macfarlane has entered for the women's singles. FRENCH CHAMPIONSHIPS PARIS. June 8 In the quarter-finals of the French tennis championships, Budge (United States) defeated Destremeau (France), 6 —4, 6 —3, 6—4; Pallada (Yugoslavia) defeated Boussus (France), 6—l, 3—6, 4—6, 6—l, 6—2; Puncec defeated Cejnar, 6 —3, 3—6, 6—2, —3; Menzel defeated Mitic, 6—o, 6 —o, 6—X.
