ANNUAL DANCE
WEST END TENNIS CLUB MANY GUESTS ATTEND PRESENTATION OF TROPHIES The annual ball and prize-giving of the West End Lawn Tennis Club was held in the Peter Pan cabaret last night. Black, gold and white, the colours of the club, were used in the ballroom. Festoons of black and gold streamers, with chipped panels and white discs resembling tennis balls, almost hid the ceiling, while in the supper room black and gold streamers and bowls of Iceland poppies were arranged on the tables.
The guests were received by the president of the club, Mr. S. A. Cleal, and Mrs. Cleal, who wore a black georgette frock banded with iridescent beads. The trophies won during the year were presented by Mrs. Cleal. Among those present were:—Mrs. P. Harrison, who wore a frock of black Chantilly lace over taffetas; Mrs. S. H. Wright, floral satin; Mrs. E. Williams, silver figured satin; Mrs. G. E. Wade, shot green taffetas; Mrs. J. Callipan, black taffetas; Mrs. H. Norgrove, black satin; Mrs. C. Callinan, fuchsia taffetas; Mrs. W. Cash, floral taffetas; Mrs. C. N. Hair, green and silver cloque; Mrs. F. L. Robinson, blue taffetas; Mrs. E. D. Stotter, black lacquered lace; Mrs. T. L.
