NATIONAL RESERVE
PRESIDENT RETIRES SERVICES ACKNOWLEDGED [by telegraph—own correspondent] THAMES. Wednesday Regret at the resignation of Airs. E. F. Adams after 24 years' service as president, was expressed at the annual meeting of the Thames branch of the Women's National Reserve. Her efforts on behalf of the poor and sick of the town were praised, and it was stated that during the Great War she had been instrumental in raising large sums of money for worthy objects.
The new president, Mrs. Caisley, on behalf of present aiTd past members, presented Mrs. Adams with an armchair as a mark of their appreciation and esteem. One of the oldest members, Mrs. Gemming, presented Mrs. Adams with a beautiful bouquet. The following officers were elected:— President, Mrs. J. Caisley; vice-presi-dents, Mrs. E. Newman, Mrs. G. Cordes, Mrs. G. Tonge, and Mrs. Walton; secretary and treasurer, Mrs. L. Judd.
