CHAKGE OF MURDER CROWN'S ALLEGATIONS AFFAIR ABOARD CRUISER SEAMAN BEFORE COURT By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright (Received June 8, .12.15 a.m.) HONGKONG, June 7 Able Seaman Edwin Dwyer, aged 19, of EL M.S. Dorsetshire, who is charged with murdering Leading Seaman Robert Dickenson when the ship was off the Queensland coast on May 8 last, appeared before the Court in Hongkong to-day. Dwyer was described by the Crown solicitor as the perpetrator of a "clever and premeditated murder." At the opening -of the preliminary proceedings it was alleged that Dickenson made a discovery about Dwycr's conduct, after which Dwyer was heard threatening Dickenson. Dwyer was alleged to have retained rifle ammunition issued to a team and to have shot Dickenson while the latter Avas asleep. Nobody saw the act.
