WHITSUN HOLIDAY
KING AT WINDSOR CROWDS IN GLASGOW RAIN MARS OUTINGS British "Wireless RUGBY, J'ine 6 The Whitsun week-end was an openair holiday for the great majority of the people in Britain. The King and Queen spent a day at the Royal Lodge, Windsor, and this morning His Majesty went out riding with the two Princesses in Windsor Great Park. Continuous rain fell at Glasgow, marring the pleasure of tho crowds at Bellahouston Park for the Empire Exhibition and spoiling the effect of the 6tate drive by the Lord Mayor of London, Sir Harry Twyford, through the streets of Glasgow to the Exhibition. In spite of the weather, large crowds lined the streets to see the historic state coaches of the Mayor and Sheriffs, which had been brought specially by train from London.
