NEW ZEALANDERS' JOUR METAL SPRIGS PERMISSIBLE (Received June 7, 6.40 p.m.) SYDNEY, June 7 The general committee of the New South Wales Rugby League decided to raise no objections to the Kiwis wearing aluminium sprigs on their boots in the match against New South Wales on Saturday. The decision was made after the sprigs had been demonstrated to the committee, which, however, decided to instruct the refree to inspect the players' boots before they take the field in order to make sure that the sprigs are not broken or liable to cause injury. The New Zealand manager, Mr. J. A. Redwood, stated that all his men are in good condition.
