ENGINEER REMANDED
A motor engineer, Alexander Woods, aged 31, was charged in tho Police Court yesterday with obtaining from a city store, money and goods valued at £5 4s 6d by means of a valueless cheque, on November 1, 1935.' Accused was represented by Mr. Noble. Detective-Sergeant McHugh stated that accused had disappeared after the alleged offence, and had been deported from Australia. In reply to the magistrate, Mr. C. R, Orr Walker, he said accused was not extradited on this charge. Accused was remanded until tomorrow,- bail being fised at £75.
