MISSING INDIAN
POLICE SEARCH CONTINUED NEW DRAGGING GEAR USED [BY TELEGRAPH SPECIAL REPORTER] KAWHIA, Friday The search for Dalu Desai, the Indian store assistant, who disappeared from Taharoa on May 7, was continued to-day by police parties, which dragged part of Lake Taharoa and probed the sand-dunes with spears. Inquiries are also being made to discover who was the last person to see Dalu before he disappeared. Every Maori at Taharoa has been questioned, and the police are now directing their attention further afield. The new dragging gear, which arrived yesterday, worked efficiently over the small area of lake explored first by the police.
