CROSSING COLLISION
KIOKIO FARMER'S DEATH LOSS TO KING COUNTRY [from our own correspondent] OTOROHANGA, Saturday The death has occurred of Mr. Samuel James Sanson, aged 74, of Kiokio, near Otorohanga, who was seriously injured in a level-crossing accident in Palmerston North yesterday. Deceased was widely known and was a most progressive farmer. About 25 years ago he arrived at Otorohanga from Palmerston North and shortly afterward bought ft considerable area of virgin land at Kiokio, which he converted into one of the lincst mixedstock properties in the King Country. Mr. Sanson interested himself in all classes of sport. In his youth ho was a prominent footballer and all-round athlete. Ee was a patron of many sporting bodies, Deceased is survived by his wife and a grown-up family.
