The sand however, has now moved a great deal. Inspector C. W. Lopdell, officer com. $ manding the Hamilton district, said to-day that the dragging operations were expected to be extremely difficult owing to the dense underwater growth $ in the lake. The water was teeming 'lf with eels, and this would also hinder the operations.
