"It seems to be the habit of som ,® people to blame the other fellow, said the Prime Minister, Mr. Savage, when the cablegram from Sydney suggesting that New Zealand has raised difficulties regarding the Tasman air mail service, was referred to him bv telephone last evening. "New Zealand is one of the three .countries concerned," Mr. Savage added, "and we are doing everything we can to get the service started. We have certainly not been blaming people for sins they have not committed.' New Zealand had raised no difficulties at all, the Prime Minister continued. The Government had recently w'ifl exchanging opinions with the British and Australian Governments regarding matters of detail, and it was ready and willing to go ahead as soon as the other partners in the scheme.
